I just dont know what to do. Stay at a school i hate for college purposes? or go to my infamous local school?

i have just started high school (15 year old male) at a new school where none of my friends go near my moms work. i go here because it is one of the best schools in my state. the school is a good half hour away from where i live. i have friends there its just... they're different. most of the kids at this school are rich stuck up stoners(ive had bad experiences with drugs). girls seem be pretty bitchy and not my type(they have no interest in me whatsoever). i want to go to my local high school which is known for very low GPAs and bad kids(gang related shootings). Ive been talking to my parents and they told me i can go wherever i want next year. i also have a chance of getting my band(rock) signed to a record company over the next couple years. i'm wondering what you guys think i should do. i need another opinion. right now i really want to go to my local school. but will my band make it?
