Do athiests tend to be rude or mean?

I admit that I am not an atheist, but I notice that many of the atheists I converse with seem to have this real nasty streak to them. Is this but the subconscious workings of a confirmation bias (is it all in my head) or do other people feel this way as well? I would like to hear from both theists as well as atheists- if possible. This is NOT a question about God.
