Why are pisces so suffocating ?

Pisces are very overbearing when it comes to relationships. They love be in love and love to be loved. They are sort of the light side of scorpio. Water signs are known to "wash" over their loved ones with a see of emotions, overbearing love and possessiveness. In my research and life experience I have found them to be too much for me, because as you say they are easily offended and after wards degrade and scare the other party away. You have to be very blunt with them, but most importantly you have to stand your ground. Most people who got offended by this question, who are pisces, may not be like this, but they need to realize this is a cardinal tell sign of their horoscope. Instead of getting offended I challenge them to look within.
