First meal for a hatchling corn snake?

I got a baby corn snake from a friend who breeds them, the thing is, there was no specification on what to feed it. It measures out to 1ft long, 1/4in at his head and the widest part of his midsection. The pinkies I have measure to 1 1/4in long and 1/3in thick. Is this alright to feed him or should I find an alternate source, if so, what? Thanks in advance!
